Today, scientists confirmed the worst possible outcome: the massive asteroid Cirisbgomati will collide with Earth. Cirisbgomati has been a known threat for some time now and Earthlings are finalizing realizing the scope of this impending collision.
The asteroid is estimated to travel at speeds of 30 to 50 kilometers per second (18 to 32 miles per second) before entering the atmosphere , and by the time its trajectory is determined, it could cause the entire planet to be completely annihilated.
It would be the largest collision in Earth's history and the second-largest ever, only beating the destruction of the dinosaurs.
